Fenty Fanatics
Fenty Beauty by Rihanna
As you all may have heard, the newest craze in makeup lines is "Fenty Beauty" by Rihanna. Now Rihanna is known to stun red carpets each and every time with her flawless hair and makeup. So if she comes out with her new line of beauty products, why wouldn't anyone want to purchase her "Killawatt Freestyle" highlighters and shine bright like a diamond?
It is definitely not uncommon for celebrities to collaborate with brands on makeup products (Jaclynn Hill X Morphe and Chrissy Teigen X Becca) or even create their own lines ("KKW Beauty" by Kim Kardashian and "Nuance Salma Hayek"). With makeup looks being so accessible online, it is beyond easy for consumers to purchase these products and recreate looks that these celebrities are known to rock, since many people aspire to be like them. Not only is makeup already a prevailing industry, but popular celebrities known for certain looks are bound to make sales with their own products through their fan bases. For example, Kim Kardashian is known for her contour, so it wasn't surprising when her products sold out soon after she released them. Rihanna is known for her glam, glow, and highlight, so her highlighters are currently the newest obsession that everyone has to have.
Her highlighters aren't the only pull of attraction for the new line. Rihanna offers a wide variety of shades for every skin tone (more than drugstore brands can offer), leading to an increased amount of potential buyers of various skin tones.
It doesn't take much to convince people to purchase these products because the brand itself is Rihanna, a celebrity who already has loyal consumers who know her personal/professional brand. As long as the quality of the product is decent, people are interested in Rihanna, and they have the means to purchase her products, they are sure to sell.
